Four pilots in Greece, Italy, Germany, and internationally will test the Framework in action, tackling real-world challenges like drafting laws, planning for climate change, enhancing smart cities, and addressing Long Covid impacts

The National-Level Climate Change Adaptation Deliberation pilot will engage citizens and experts in a digital deliberative process to analyze and provide recommendations on Italy’s newly approved National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (PNACC).
Objectives
- National deliberation: Engage citizens and experts to analyze and recommend actions for PNACC.
- AI integration: Explore AI tools to enhance text and video-based deliberations.
- Digital deliberation: Shift from in-person to fully digital deliberative processes.
- Platform innovation: Use Common Grounds (BRANE) for an inclusive, user-friendly deliberation space.
- Inclusive participation: Use AI to ensure diverse voices are heard in deliberations.
- Public feedback: Enable citizens to contribute, vote, and comment on proposals online.
- Sustainability: Test the scalability and long-term viability of AI-powered digital deliberation.
