Organisation profile: The Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana is the leading Slovenian research organization in criminology, with extensive experience in managing various types of projects at all levels. Our interdisciplinary team of researchers specializing in law, philosophy, and psychology actively collaborates on national and international research projects addressing a wide range of crime and criminal justice issues, including criminal policy, penology, juvenile delinquency and justice, children’s rights, social control, criminal investigation, law and technology, cyberlaw, and ethics.Our core activities encompass research, education, and the dissemination of knowledge, as well as the management of a specialized library and a data centre for criminal policy, criminology, and criminal law, which will serve as a central repository and access point for a wide range of data.
